Carly Macias has 10 years of experience in multimodal transportation planning with a specialization in transit planning and zero-emission vehicle planning. Since joining Kimley-Horn, Carly has worked with transit agencies to develop zero-emission bus plans & deployment projects and supported clients through program management contracts. Prior to Kimley-Horn, Carly was a senior planner at RTD in Denver, Colorado where she led zero-emission bus planning for the agency and served as the project manager for several ZEB projects including the Reimagine RTD Zero Emission Bus Plan. Carly led RTD’s interdepartmental Fleet Electrification Task Force and represented RTD in the Colorado Electric Vehicle Coalition. She is also the Vice Chair for the APTA Zero Emission Fleet Committee. In 2020, she was named to Mass Transit Magazine’s 40 Under 40 List based on her work with RTD’s electric bus fleet. Carly has a bachelor's degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from UCLA and a master's degree in Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Colorado Denver.
