Manjiri is a licensed architect and an urban transportation professional with 20-years of experience.
She is the Director of Capital and Service Planning for San Antonio's VIA Metropolitan Transit System. As a director, she oversees capital improvement planning, short & long-range planning, and service planning & scheduling departments. Her most recent projects includes implementation of VIA's ride-share program – VIA Link, and development of Keep San Antonio Moving (KSAM) plan.
Manjiri spent five years (2009-2014) as an Associate Professor of Urban Transport for India's CEPT (Center for Environmental Planning and Technology) University. She served in an advisory capacity to the Central Government and other Local Government Bodies in India in Bus Rapid Transit program and project development.
Manjiri has a great passion for community service. She is Vice-Chair of the U.S. Transportation Research Board's (TRB) Standing Committee on Transportation in the Developing Countries. Manjiri is currently the Chair of "CI: NOW" (Community Information Now), -a non-profit research organization.
